Keep the iPads and Netflix away and spark your children's hidden culinary talents with our hands-on holiday cooking classes. This 2-day Culinary Boot Camp by Food Playground is the perfect way to keep young minds engaged while learning real-life culinary skills!
Learning Outcomes
1. Learn to prepare and cook authentic recipes without fancy equipment
2. Learn a variety of cooking and baking techniques
3. Learn how to incorporate healthier ingredients in recipes
4. Learn important life skills from the kitchen like confidence and independence
Whether your child is kneading dough or whisking up a storm, they’ll learn real-life cooking skills while having a blast – and yes, they’ll even bring the recipes home to impress you later. Spots are filling fast!
This course will be conducted at our own fully equipped cooking studio in Chinatown. Each class will have an intimate learning environment with a ratio of 1 instructor to 4 learners for Junior Camp, and a ratio of 1 instructor to 6 learners for Teens Camp. Upon successful completion, each student will receive a certificate of achievement as well as lots of wonderful memories to bring home!

Here's a brief program sequence of the Junior Culinary Boot Camp:
Day 1 (Half-Day)
9:30am: Welcome and introduction
9:45am: Learn two recipes
Option 1: Shepherd's Pie & Banana Choc Muffins (scheduled for 3&4 June/ 17&18June/ 8&9July/ 22&23July)
Option 2: Egg Fried Rice & Char Siew Chicken (scheduled for 10&11June/ 24&25June/ 15&16July/ 29&30July)
12:10pm: Lunch (Enjoy the fruits of your labour!)
12:30pm: Session ends
Day 2 (Half-Day)
9:30am: Briefing and first day recap
9:45am: Learn two recipes
Option 1: Burnt Cheesecake & Rustic Pizza (scheduled for 3&4 June/ 17&18June/ 8&9July/ 22&23July)
Option 2: Mee Goreng & Chocolate Chip Cookies (scheduled for 10&11June/ 24&25June/ 15&16July/ 29&30July)
12:00pm: Lunch (Enjoy the fruits of your labour!)
12:15pm: Debrief & Closing, Certificate presentation
12:30pm: Boot Camp ends

Ideal For: Students between 10 years old and 12 years old looking for hands-on enrichment activities during the June school holidays
Total Duration: 6 hours (Day 1->3 hours & Day 2->3 hours)
What's Included: Aprons, chef hats, ingredients, recipe printouts, cooking equipment, and free-flow hot & cold drinks.
Pricing: 300 SGD/pax NETT (No GST or hidden fees)
Group Discount: Enjoy 20% discount for booking of 4 or more, so bring friends or siblings!
We only use Halal-certified ingredients and all our utensils have never handled pork since inception, so Muslim participants are most welcome to join. If your children have any other dietary restrictions or food allergies, please let us know at the time of booking so we can make the necessary adjustments.
We will be running a total of 8 sessions over the two months of June and July, so this will give you more flexibility in planning your schedule for your kids. Each session only has a maximum of 8 slots, so please sign up early to avoid disappointment!
Teens Culinary Boot Camp
(Ideal for 13-18 years old)
