Kids Holiday Cooking Classes
(2021 June/July Boot Camps)
Would you like your kids to learn some practical life skills and discover their hidden culinary talents during the upcoming school holidays in June & July? This 2-day Culinary Skills Boot Camp by Food Playground x Elle & Vire is the perfect launchpad to help learners achieve the following:
Learning Outcomes
1. Understand food hygiene and food preparation basics
2. Learn to prepare and cook authentic recipes from scratch
3. Learn a variety of cooking and baking techniques
4. Learn how to incorporate healthier ingredients in recipes
5. Learn important life skills like empathy and kindness
This course will be conducted at our own fully equipped cooking studio in Chinatown. Each class will have an intimate learning environment with a ratio of 1 instructor to 4 learners. Upon completion, each student will receive an apron, certificate of achievement as well as lots of wonderful memories to bring home!

Here's a brief program sequence of the Junior Boot Camp:
Day 1 (Half-Day)
9:00am: Welcome and introduction
9:15am: Food hygiene/preparation lecture
9:45am: Learn recipe #1: Milo Dinosaur Tiramisu
10:30am: Learn recipe #2: Japanese Bento
12:00pm: Lunch (Enjoy your bento and tiramisu!)
12:30pm: Session ends
Day 2 (Half-Day)
9:00am: Food hygiene recap
9:30am: Learn recipe #3: Cheese Cupcakes
10:30am: Learn recipe #4: Pizza dough from scratch
11:15am: Prepare pizza ingredients and bake pizza
11:45am: Lunch (Enjoy your pizza and cupcakes!)
12:15pm: Debrief & Closing, Certificate presentation
12:30pm: Boot Camp ends
Ideal For: Students between 7 years old and 10 years old looking for hands-on enrichment activities during the school holidays
Total Duration: 9 hours (Day 1:4.5 hours & Day 2:4.5 hours)
Rate: 240 SGD/pax NETT (10% discount for booking of 2 or more)
We will be running a total of 4 sessions over the months of June and July to cater to both the local schools and international schools, so this will give you more flexibility in planning your schedule for your kids. But please note that each session is capped at 16 participants, so do sign up early to avoid disappointment!
Teens Boot Camp
(Ideal for 11-15 years old)

3:00pm: Tea Break (Enjoy your scones with roselle jam)
3:30pm: Learn recipe #4: Jelly Hearts Cheesecake

Day 2 (Full-Day)
9:00am: Briefing and food hygiene recap
9:30am Learn recipe #5: Hand-made pasta from scratch
11:00am Cook pasta aglio olio
12:00pm Lunch (Enjoy your pasta aglio olio!)
1:00pm Rest & relax
1:30pm: Learn recipe #6: Chocolate-chip cookies
3:00pm: Learn recipe #7: Butter cookies
4:30pm: Debrief and closing, Certificate presentation
